Introduction               Labels A - D               Labels E - K               Labels L - R               Labels S - Z

(UK) VOGUE-CORAL 10-inch LPs
1954 - 1957

This listing was originally published by Paul Pelletier in 1975 along with the rest of the (Vogue) Coral label; the singles listing has been re-published in issue Two of the "Record Information" series but the EP and LP listings have long been unavailable. The content of the 10-inch series was typical for the mid-1950s, with lots of Jazz orientated material, but it closed with a bang by issuing the classic and highly sought-after Johnny Burnette album (which, incidentally, proved that twelve tracks could be fitted onto a 10-inch LP rather than the customary eight, although probably the amplitude and maybe fidelity suffered).

Most "LRA" prefixed albums derive from U.S. Brunswick rather than Coral, but the difference between the two was because "LVC" albums retailed at a lower price. Track listings have been given per Paul's database, information for the others is available and will be added for specific requests.

The relevant hand-written Decca ledger (see Introduction) shows disruption at the end of the list, with the intended album LRA 10040 (due to be issued with LRA 10039) being cancelled, and a subsequent intended batch, LRA 10041 & 10042 plus LVC 10043 & 100444, also being cancelled - details for the would-be releases 10040 & 10041 have been lost as the entries have been overstuck with paper but the other information is given below.

     Any additional information is welcome.
